Information We Collect

We collect the information needed to run the app: account details supplied by your sign-in provider, such as email address, display name, provider, and provider account identifier; settings you choose; and the subscription records you add or import. Subscription records can include service names, prices, renewal dates, categories, notes, reminder settings, and payment method labels.

Where Account Data Is Stored

SubHub can run in different service configurations. Depending on the app version and account, sign-in may be handled by Apple together with Supabase Auth, or by Firebase Authentication. Saved account and subscription data may be stored in a PostgreSQL database accessed through SubHub's Vercel-hosted API, or in Google Cloud Firestore for legacy accounts. The active configuration determines which system the app uses for saved subscription records.

Local Device Storage

SubHub stores limited session and preference data in local storage, IndexedDB, or the app's local device storage. Clearing browser or app data removes this local copy, but does not by itself delete account data stored by SubHub. Signing out clears the active session where applicable. SubHub does not use third-party advertising or advertising cookies.

Screenshot and PDF Imports

Screenshot and PDF imports are read on your device using bundled text-recognition software. The source image or PDF is not uploaded to SubHub as part of this import. You review the extracted subscription details before choosing what to save to your account.

Payment Method Labels

SubHub is not a payment processor and does not charge cards or bank accounts. Payment method fields are labels you enter. Do not store full card numbers, security codes, bank credentials, or other sensitive financial secrets in notes or labels.

Reminders and Notifications

If enabled, renewal reminders are scheduled locally on your device through the operating system's notification service. SubHub does not send renewal-reminder emails. You can change reminder timing in the app and notification permission in your device settings.

Exports and Optional Backups

Where available, SubHub may let you export a readable copy of your account data or deliberately save a cloud backup. The feature will identify what is included before you use it. Legacy cloud backups can include subscription records, payment method labels, settings, and backup logs stored with Firebase. Exports and backups are meant for portability or recovery, not for storing financial secrets.

Security and App Integrity

We use authentication, access controls, encrypted network connections, and provider security features to protect the service. A Firebase-configured version may also use Firebase Security Rules, App Check, or reCAPTCHA. No app or storage provider can guarantee perfect security.

How We Use Information

We use your information to provide account access, show subscription totals, estimate renewals and savings, sync saved data across your devices, process an export or backup you request, schedule local reminders you enable, secure the app, prevent abuse, and maintain the service.

Legal Bases

We process core account and subscription data to provide the service you request. Optional cloud backups run only when you choose that feature. Security, debugging, fraud prevention, and abuse prevention are handled as necessary to keep SubHub reliable and protected.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Depending on the app configuration and features you use, data may be processed by Apple platform services, Google Firebase or Google Cloud, Supabase, and Vercel hosting and functions. Those providers process information only to supply the relevant authentication, hosting, database, storage, security, or notification capability. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the app and its users.

International Processing

SubHub's Apple, Google, Supabase, and Vercel providers may process data in countries outside your own. The provider involved depends on your app configuration. Where required, those providers use contractual and technical safeguards for international transfers.

Your Choices

• You can add, edit, archive, or delete subscriptions in the app.
• You can export a readable JSON copy of your SubHub account data from Settings.
• You can disable device reminder notifications in Settings.
• You can request account deletion from Settings where available, or by contacting us.

Retention and Deletion

Saved account data remains until you delete it, request account deletion, or it is no longer needed to provide the service. For legacy Firebase accounts, the in-app deletion process removes the account's Firestore records, Firebase Storage files, and Firebase Authentication user. For accounts using the PostgreSQL or Supabase configuration, contact hello@subhub.best if the deletion action is not offered in Settings. Provider security, audit, backup, or legal logs may persist for a limited period where required by law or the provider's retention policy.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete personal data SubHub holds about you, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent for optional features. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Children

SubHub is intended for people old enough to manage subscriptions and is not directed to children under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete the account.

SubHub is a hobby project operated by an individual developer based in Austria. The developer is the controller for SubHub personal data and can be reached at hello@subhub.best. Use the same address to request access, export, correction, or deletion of your data.
